Publication in Engineering Optimization

I'm thrilled to share that my latest research paper, titled "Optimization of a Roller Coaster Bogie Considering Fatigue Life," has been published in Engineering Optimization. This project represents a significant milestone in my ongoing exploration of engineering principles applied to high-performance machinery.

This research addresses a complex challenge in mechanical design: how to enhance the durability and safety of roller coaster bogies by optimizing for fatigue life. By focusing on fatigue resistance, I aimed to extend the lifecycle of these components, which are subject to high dynamic loads and extreme conditions. The paper presents a novel approach to balancing structural integrity with performance demands, providing insights for design engineers working on similar high-stress applications.

Publishing in Engineering Optimization is an honor, and I'm excited to contribute to the field of mechanical engineering. The findings have practical implications for both amusement ride safety and the broader field of fatigue analysis.

This research was conducted as part of my graduate studies with Professor Il Yong Kim’s research group, and I'm grateful for the support and collaboration throughout the process.

Thank you to everyone who made this possible. Looking forward to continuing my work in mechanical engineering optimization!
